Thanksgiving in Miami 2026: Dining, Neighborhoods and a Long Weekend

Miami Beautiful illustrated guide.
Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, 2026. A Miami holiday plan can be as simple as one meal worth lingering over and one nearby place to explore. Decide which part of the day matters most to your group before adding attractions, shopping and evening events.
Book the meal before building the itinerary
Start with the official Greater Miami Thanksgiving guide, then confirm directly with your chosen restaurant. Ask about the holiday menu, total price per person, what is included, the reservation window and deposit or cancellation terms. A venue’s ordinary opening hours do not establish its Thanksgiving hours.
If your group includes children or people with dietary requirements, ask about those needs before booking. Check whether the reservation has a fixed seating period. Those answers will tell you whether a walk, an attraction or an early return home makes sense around the meal. No restaurant in this guide is presented as confirmed open for Thanksgiving without a current holiday announcement.
Consider a Little Havana afternoon
Explore the setting around Máximo Gómez Park, commonly called Domino Park. The Sanguich de Miami place guide provides another local food stop to research for the weekend. Neither listing establishes Thanksgiving Day opening; verify the particular date before including it.
Keep the neighborhood plan compact. Choose a meeting point and one or two stops instead of a long list of destinations requiring separate drives. If Thursday is reserved for family, move the outing to Friday or Saturday and confirm those hours separately.
Friday brings a confirmed lights opening
For November 27, Zoo Miami announces the opening night of Zoo Lights 2026. It is a separate ticketed evening experience, so do not assume daytime zoo admission covers it. Check the organizer’s page for booking conditions. Our Zoo Miami guide can help you place that outing geographically.
Leave room for the rest of the weekend
An outing around Bayfront Park offers another setting for a different day. Check current access and scheduled events; an ordinary park visit does not include a holiday show. Use the weather page and neighborhood guides to keep plans flexible.
Keep the final checklist short: confirmed meal, confirmed hours, transport and an alternative if the group wants a quieter day. Revisit the official links before departure.
